The 629th Medical Detachment (RENAL), arrives from Fort Sam Houston, Texas and is assigned to United States Army Medical Command, Japan w/duty at US Army Hospital, Camp Zama.

US Army Depot Command, Japan discontinues and merges as a single unified US Army, Japan organization

LST 1106, carrying 128th Station Hospital personnel and equipment sink in typhoon off the coast of Okinawa

Operation Medic brings a large influx of medical specialties to Japan from CONUS

The 9th Logistical Command is re-designated, 9th Theatre Army Area Command and is activated in Japan.

1, 1950

The 128th Station Hospital is absorbed by the l 141st General Hospitalfor one month. The 141st is sent to Fukuoka, and the 128th is reorganized.
